On the Mud at Triadelphia Reservoir
I missed the semipalmated sandpiper reported at the reservoir's Big Branch area this week, but on Thursday I found some other picturesque wildlife there. Besides the 40 plus Canada geese, I counted 11 tiger swallowtails on the mud and a nearby buttonbush -- a good count for a summer which has been slow for butterflies so far.
