Duck Parade ~~ a Lake Dreary and Bright Last Weekend




First, I'd like to draw attention to the Howard County Bird Club's special program this Thursday evening at the Robinson Nature Center: It's a presentation about the irruption of snowy owls in the region last winter. Free and open to the public. Note information about times and the Nature Center's front door. Here's the link:

My photos show Lake Kittamaqundi last weekend, when we had a dreary, rainy Saturday followed by a sunny though chilly and windy Sunday. There were up to four species of migrating or winter resident ducks, five if you include the usual mallards.
