It fell over.... (and ducklings)



I lost one of the focal points in my "view towards the north end of the lake", but the point of this photography project of mine is to record changes subtle and drastic as time passes. The old stump apparently was a casualty of one of the heavy rains we had in May. The above was taken in late April, soon after the boom was installed across the inlet at the north end to deal with the diesel spill.




And last weekend, the mother mallard still had nine ducklings. They look big enough now to avoid attracting those underwater predators (snapping turtles and largemouth bass).
